At The Chapel, we’re always on the lookout for places to find relax, rest and refuel. Luckily for our London clientele, the city is full of such havens - pulling away from the noisy-branded coffee house stereotype to create places of solace. So, whether you’re looking for a cosy cup of coffee, somewhere to work in peace or a unique setting for an occasional act of self-love, we’ve got you covered. Here are some of our team’s favourite London cafes we’re sure you’re going to adore.

Palm Vaults

First up is the Instagram-worthy Palm Vaults, recommended by our London-based stylist Karlene. A purveyor of pastels and chic decor it is a place which instantly makes you feel at home - albeit a very sleek and stylish home. With an interesting menu of healthy vegetarian favourites such as avocado toast paired with more out-there options (their lavender latte is a must-try), your taste buds will be spoilt for choice. This is the perfect place to relax with friends and linger for a long catch-up. We love their no-laptop policy - a place to really pause.

Covent Garden Grind

Scott from our Tunbridge Wells team loves to visit Covent Garden Grind whenever he’s in the city. The epitome of London-chic, this Covent Garden branch of the much-loved all day and night coffee houses is the top spot to find late-night solace. By day, a cool cafe serving brunch specials and top class coffee, by night, alcohol also joins the menu for those who want to really treat themselves - we all deserve a self-celebration! “It has a fabulous blend of vibe, coffee and cake!”, says Scott - and who doesn’t love all three?

The Good Egg

Harriet, a prized part of our London Guest Relations team, always has great recommendations, “I recently went to the Good Egg in Stoke Newington - amazing food and big portions.”. The Jewish-inspired cafe has plenty of wondrous options - especially their in-house baked bread selection and traditional sweet treats which are the perfect pair for their artisan coffees. Take a friend or family member to really show how much they mean to you and to share some time together.

The Elgin

'Exposed brick, bright airy layout and a laid-back feel.' Crispin, from our head office, found this on the off-chance on his last trip to London. With an ever-changing seasonal menu and artistic coffee selection this a place to really savour some much-needed 'me-time'. Located in the heart of Maida Vale, it provides a great base from which to explore this stunning part of London.

So there you have it, our top London cafes from our very own team. We would love you to try our suggestions and let us know what you think! For more London top tips and The Chapel content check out our blog!
